Customizable Settings

My Food Program provides the most customizable software designed to simplify management of the CACFP and SFSP while minimizing errors. Check out our long list of customizable settings available to help our software fit your specific program needs.

You can customize your CLAIM so that:

  • The list of participants on the claim is based on attendance, meal participation, and/or enrollment status;
  • Zero claims are placed on hold automatically;
  • The administrative percentage withheld by sponsoring organization is customized per centers; and
  • Claim payments can be paid by ACH or check

You can customize your ENROLLMENT & INCOME FORMS to:

  • Enforce a sponsor policy on effective and expiration dates based on sponsor signature, parent signature or a specific date
  • Automatically expire if a participant is withdrawn
  • Be available for parents to complete electronically, with alerts by text or email

You can customize MEALS TO BE DISALLOWED because:

  • Meals are not checked on the enrollment form as those typically received
  • Food items do not have a CN Label or Product Formulation Statement uploaded
  • License capacity was exceeded
  • Food quantities on production records were insufficient
  • Milk audit shortages (by month, by day and by fat percentage)
  • A departure time was not entered
  • A participant was not observed or approved to be claimed as part of a site visit
  • The participant’s schedule does not align with the site meal times
  • AM Snack or Lunch was served to a school-age or 6 yr old+ on a weekday
  • Food temperatures were unsafe
  • The provider or center was closed that day
  • A menu or infant menu is missing
  • An infant is missing the infant meal notification that documents who is providing formula and solid foods
  • No whole grain-rich food was offered during the day
  • A participant is missing an enrollment form
  • A child is too old to be eligible
  • A parent or guardian is supplying both formula and food for an infant who is developmentally ready for solid foods
  • The menu doesn’t meet the USDA meal pattern requirements
  • Arrival/departure times indicate a participant wasn’t present at meal time
  • A provider’s child does not have proper income documentation on file
  • The facility license is missing or expired
  • Food items on the menu do not match those on the production record
  • Two or more sites recorded the same child for the same meal
  • A for-profit center did not meet the 25% threshold requirement
  • The number of meals served exceeds the number of meals available

You can customize PROVIDER OR CENTER STAFF PERMISSIONS to:

  • Enter infant feeding information
  • Edit infant developmental readiness dates for solid foods
  • Add participants
  • Enter or edit expenses
  • Record hourly wages for expense tracking
  • Chat with My Food Program customer support from within the app
  • Upload daily attendance information from a spreadsheet
  • Download an income, enrollment and/or infant form to print and fill
  • Make a participant active
  • Withdraw a participant

You can customize the MENU ENTRY screen to:

  • Only show sponsor-approved food items
  • Require menus before meal counts can be entered
  • Allow users to enter their own menu description
  • Require infant menus for the facility overall, infant menus by name or both
  • Require food production records before meal counts can be entered
  • Require incremental (clicker) counts
  • Use a master menu

You can customize the ATTENDANCE AND MEAL COUNT screens to:

  • Restrict entry to meal service time, by the end of the day or any custom day of the week or date of a calendar month
  • Use head count or take meal counts by name
  • Have attendance and meal counts on the same screen or different screens
  • Use up to three shifts

You can also CUSTOMIZE:

  • Expense categories and requirements for uploaded documentation
  • Food temperature minimums or maximums
  • Categories and age ranges for meal orders
  • Tracking of provider or center staff required CACFP/SFSP and Civil Rights training
  • Monitoring Visit forms
